Companies working for the Scottish Hub programme are experiencing a surge in orders.
The Hub procurement programme, which was set up 2 years ago, has been slow to start but the workload is now expected to top £1bn this year. Figures from the Scottish Futures Trust, which is in charge of the Hub programme, value current projects at £323m, creating over 4,000 jobs. An estimated £980m worth of projects are in development and it is expected that £1bn of projects will be complete or under construction by the end of the 2014/2015 financial year.
