We have provided safe maintenance solutions at Inverness Castle for work at height tasks
Built in 1836, Inverness Castle sits on a cliff overlooking the River Ness and is home to Inverness Sheriff Court. Roof Edge was approached to provide solutions that would allow maintenance work at height to be carried out safely.
A total of 6 Ringankas and 12 KeeLine® Horizontal Life Line systems totalling 70m have been installed to ensure that all maintenance which involves work at height can be carried out in complete safety.
Ringanka®, part of the Kee i-bolt® range of Class A1 anchor devices, provides a fixed anchoring point where workers can attach a lanyard and safety harness to ensure safe access and personal protection in the event of an accidental slip or fall. KeeLine horizontal lifeline provides a virtually invisible fall protection solution which is an important factor for historical buildings such as Inverness Castle. The system is designed to provide safe access to any area of a roof by allowing workers to be permanently attached to the line at all times and be able to freely move around the area.
