Why use Kee Klamp and Kee Access fittings
Benefits of Kee Klamp and Kee Access
When it comes to pedestrian barriers, stairs, ramps, DDA handrailing and compliant guardrails, systems constructed from fittings such as Kee Klamp and Kee Access provide a more flexible solution than fabrication.
Fittings also have the benefit of giving you greater design flexibility than fabricated systems. For example, fittings can easily accommodate changes in level or direction, and meet virtually any design requirement including DDA compliance. Barriers and handrails are simple to install which means there’s no need for skilled labour or special work permits, and, because components don’t need to be cut or welded, the integrity of the coating is left intact, guaranteeing the integrity of the system for many years.
Kee Klamp fittings are manufactured to the requirements of BS EN 1562 and BS EN 1563. Each fitting is able to support an axial load of 900 Kg and includes safety factor 2:1. The main fittings are TÜV certified for strength, manufacturing quality and consistency. The Kee Access range has been developed specifically to help satisfy the requirements of the Equality Act 2010(previously DDA) and the Building Regulations Approved Document M. Each fitting is designed to provide a smooth and continuous handrail that is not cold to touch and complies with legislation covering disabled access.
