When a roof is accessed by either a fixed or cat ladder, you must ensure that people are protected when stepping onto the roof from the ladder. Our KeeGuard® Ladder Kit consists of KeeGuard® edge protection which is fixed either side of the fixed ladder and a Self Closing Safety Gate for safe access onto the roof for maintenance and inspection purposes.
KeeGuard® Ladder Kit has been designed to provide a retro-fit solution to existing fixed ladders and cat ladders to ensure compliance with EN 14122 Safety to machinery. Permanent means of access to machinery which requires that gates on handrails must close automatically when released and that if an access point is required along a guardrail, this must be a self closing gate.
Being freestanding in design, the Kit provides permanent edge protection when accessing a roof via a fixed/cat ladder without the need to mechanically fix the system through the roof’s membrane or the building’s structure.
The KeeGuard® Ladder Kits is quick and easy to install and simply clamps onto the existing fixed/cat ladder to form a continual link from the guardrail to the ladder’s stringer. The Kit’s unique fitting which connects the guardrail to the ladder is able to clamp around either a flat or tubular stringer with a maximum diameter/width of up to 75mm.
