Weightanka® from Roof Edge Fabrications is the ideal solution for when temporary protection is required for short term work such as maintenance of roofs where edge protection has not been installed.
The portable, non-penetrating deadweight anchor device is designed for use on roofs with up to a 5° pitch for temporary or permanent applications. Weightanka® is ideal for situations where other safety devices such as guardrails or permanent anchors are not suitable or available.
The anchor conforms to BS EN 795 and can be used on all roof surfaces in both wet and dry conditions.
Weightanka® is quick and easy to install. A single unit weighs just 250kg and comprises individual, smaller components and with no single component weighing more than 25kg, the anchor can be transported easily to the roof. .
The Weightanka® has been designed to be used with an approved shock absorbing rope grab and rope and full body harness to provide safe access at all times. The system can be used on any flat or industrial steel pitched roof which is able to take the load of the unit together with the weight of the operative(s) and any additional equipment.
Weightanka® can also be linked using the KeeLine horizontal life line system to form a WIREANKA system. This provides fall restraint protection while users travel between each Weightanka® and fall arrest once they are disconnected from the life line and connected directly to an individual anchor.
